Charity Initiatives

Charity Mission

In 1926, the Francesco DeSanctis Lodge began the Natick Sons and Daughters of Italy. It all started with volunteers and it continues to this day. We have donated hundreds of hours to running every aspect of the Lodge; from answering the phones, recycling cans, landscaping, making sauce for Pasta Night, paying the bills and shutting the lights off after every function. The Lodge would cease to exist without the incredible love and faithfulness of our volunteers.

Charitable Giving

The Natick Sons and Daughters of Italy strives to make meaningful charitable donations annually. This is the culmination of hundreds of volunteer hours and the incredible support of our members and patrons. We are proud to share our charitable giving information.

We made significant donations in 2021. $8250 in scholarship awards, $250 to Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation of Autism, $250 to Alzheimer’s Association, $340 to Metrowest Family Promise. At our Lodge Holiday Party, the members voted to donate $500 to Rutland County Parent Child Center and $500 to Casa Myrna totaling $10,090. In February of 2022, we donated $250 to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Trevor Project, Friends of Natick Seniors and Spark Kindness. We can be very proud of our charitable giving in such difficult times!
